I'm genuinely thrilled about contributing to the panel on "Practical Strategies for Embracing Joyful Aging and Thriving Through Every Stage of Life." Here's a glimpse of the journey I'll be sharing:
Navigating life's ups and downs has taught me the art of thriving and joyful aging. From running marathons and achieving an MBA in my 20s, navigating personal upheavals like divorce and the bittersweet mix of loss and new beginnings in my 30s, to facing a hereditary cancer risk and undergoing life-altering surgeries in my 40s, every decade has brought its unique set of challenges and triumphs.
Now, stepping into my 50s, I'm juggling the joys and trials of raising young children amidst the personal journey of menopause. It's a narrative less conventional than generations past, yet increasingly common and profoundly beautiful in its complexity.
Through my work with "The Positive Gene Podcast," speaking engagements, and advocacy, I've learned the immense power of community, resilience, and proactive health management. My story is a testament to the strength found in vulnerability, the clarity that comes with informed health choices, and the unyielding optimism that guides us through every stage of life.
In our panel discussion, I aim to bridge the gap between personal experiences and broader societal contexts, advocating for a world where every woman's journey is embraced, supported, and celebrated. It's about finding joy, purpose, and empowerment, regardless of the milestones we encounter.
Looking forward to sharing, learning, and growing together in this journey of joyful aging.
